Snooze and Syllabi

For me, snoozing is something of an art. I time it perfectly so that I have ample opportunity to come to terms with the fact that I need to wake up. Today was the beginning of snooze season and I was well prepared except that I had forgotten one thing: my alarm clock is LOUD. The violent jolt of surprise nearly carried me into the wall. I have faith that I will become accustomed to it, but I do fear some retaliation from my neighbors.
Still, today is a special day! It is syllabus day/assign-the-first-project-due-next-class day. My first prof was MIA, but the others were eager to flaunt their list of daily projects. The syllabi caused me to ask a lot of questions, most concerning the wisdom of renting an apartment rather than making use of the theatre's many resources. Of course, those that know me are rolling their eyes right now knowing that the busiest times are when I'm the most content. The key for me will be to schedule well and to keep the snoozing habit under control.
So here's to the kind of first day that could give you nightmares!
It is so good to be back :)

Snooze is alive & well at our house! Tomorrow though....we actually have to get up before we have hit snooze for an hour!

I LOVE THE SNOOZE BUTTON!!! But I'm sure you already knew that. I got a new alarm clock for my birthday. My old one was very loud, and this one is not. This one is actually more effective. I hear something and I wake up only because I'm trying to figure out what the sound is. I also like the snooze feature on it - you can set it to snooze for 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, or 60 minutes. Dangerous, yes, but very cool. Good luck with all your classes this year!
